Biography
Description/Scope and Content
The collection consists of 9 photograph albums from the Hoffman family. Many of the photographs included in the albums come from around The Bronx, though others document the family's ties and travels to parts of upstate New York and further afield. The collection contains particularly vivid photographs of Bronx Park and other parkland in the borough during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, as well as a unique set of photographs of the borough's mobilization during World War I.
Provenance
The Hoffman Family photograph collection was donated to The Bronx County Historical Society in 1991.
